The Therapists at Centers for Behavioral Health are qualified for most major health plans.  Call for sliding fee scales for no insurance CBH provides assessment services for a significant range of problems and disorders. We work closely with many area physicians to ensure the best and most appropriate level of care for individual clients and families. When expertise from another discipline is required, we have access to additional resources. CBH provide a comfortable, home-like environment at our facility. We have purposely formed a group that serves a wide range of ages and issues so that individuals and families are spared the necessity of searching far and wide for needed services. We are handicapped accessible with on site parking.

Meet our Counselors

Dawn East, LCSW

Melinda (Dawn) East, LCSW. received her Masters Degree in Social Work in 1998 from Washington University, St. Louis, where she received the WEB DeBois scholarship for outstanding incoming students in children and youth studies. Dawn received her license in clinical social work in 2000 & has been working in some helping capacity with children and families since 1991, after receiving her Associates in Human Services and Certificate in Drug and Alcohol Related Issues.

Dawn has been in private practice since 2001, and has been contracted as a consultant and trainer by State and National organizations. Dawn's goal is to help people in need - "Life can become hard, stressful, and unmanageable for lots of different reasons. Therapy is a safe, non-judgmental place to get the help you need. It is my obligation as a therapist to serve individuals, couples, families and groups in a respectful manner, recognizing the uniqueness of each person and the importance of human relationships".

Dawn provides individual, couples, family and group therapy to adults and children. She has extensive experience and training in treating clients with mood disorders, anxiety disorders, substance abuse, adjustment disorders, impulse control disorders, gay/lesbian/transgender related issues, anger management, parenting, relational problems, and marriage counseling. Childhood disorders: ADHD, ADD, ODD, Attachment disorder and child abuse and neglect.

Therapies utilized: Psychodynamic therapy, Psycho-education, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Trauma Focused therapy. In addition, Dawn is a certified counselor in adoption and foster care issues.

Carla Enyart, MS, LPC

Carla is a licensed professional counselor that has been working at Centers for Behavioral Health for 14 years and practicing in the field of psychology since 1995 - "I have a love to help people get to their most healthy emotional self.  I help adolescents get to their potential. I help couples learn to communicate, trust and respect each other. I help individual understand them selves and others.  I am a cognitive behavioral therapist who believes that if you change the way you think it can change how you act and feel.  I believe that with the right support in place, you can become who you want to be!"  

 Tom Wagner, Ph.D

Dr. Tom Wagner is a counselor and consultant in private practice.  He received his doctoral degree in counseling at Saint Louis University with a specialization in Marriage and Family Work.  Like a family practice physician, Dr. Tom sees a wide variety of client populations.  He is widely known for his work with troubled marriages, helping couples with their communication problems, assisting them through difficult life-cycle issues like adjustments to children, teenagers, or old age.  Dr. Tom has assisted many couples in discerning pathways through marital infidelity.  He is skilled in other issues including treatment of depression, anxiety, and bereavement.  Dr. Tom’s research interests include the areas of resilience, and spirituality.  He has extensive experience leading workshops and retreats to assist participants in gaining skills in these areas.  

Jessica Morris, MA, LPC, NCC

Jessica earned her Master’s degree in Professional Counseling and Bachelor’s in Gerontology from Lindenwood University. Jessica’s professional expertise includes individual and group counseling for challenging life transitions - parenting, academic, gender identity, aging; family violence & survivors of childhood abuses. Jessica counseled in a higher education setting providing mental health counseling to students, including student athletes. Jessica is a certified Social and Therapeutic Horticulturist, and received training at Geoffrey Udall Centre in Beech Hill, Reading, England. Jessica has a special interest in the value of nature in one’s mental and emotional health. She is trained and experienced in cognitive behavioral, solution-focused and reality based therapies. She is an active member in the Missouri Mental Health Counselors Association, and member of the American Counseling Association, and Chi Sigma Iota Counseling Honor Society and recipient of Lindenwood’s Professional Counseling Award. 

Insurance Plans

We accept most major medical, insurance plans, EAP's, HMO's, and  PPO's.  For those who are  uninsured ask about our sliding fee scales.
